Business Insider Intelligence surveyed 1,700 consumers on their perceptions of the primary digital platforms with respect to “legitimacy,” “security,” and “community” in their social media decision-making. LinkedIn was determined “unquestionably the most trustworthy platform.” In the study, Business Insider Intelligence attributed this to the mindset with which consumers interact with different social platforms. Users come to LinkedIn with a professional mindset, to get informed, and advance their professional careers.
